WORK/LIVE 干活 Beijing / Paris-Gonesse WORKERS RETREAT

The Social Sensibility R&D Department has been invited by f.eks. https://f-x.dk/ to a four days gathering to share the history of our practice and interact with the local artistic and socially engaged community. Together with the curators and founders of f.eks. Scott William Raby and Rikke Ehlers Nilsson, artists Alessandro Rolandi, Tianji Zhao and Blandine De la Taille designed a program called "WORKERS' RETREAT" . They invited Bernard Controls France operators Antoine Agudze and Gilbert William Honoray to be phisically present and operators Wu Shuqing, Zhao Tao, Cao Chunzi from Bernard Controls China to interact remotely through a live wechat group channel and a video message. The department's team and guests had the opportunity to introduce its methodology, discuss and share the 13 years of experience an projects in Beijing, Gonesse and Milano/Rho in a presentation at Huset Aalborg and to learn about Aalborg city's history, cultural, social and economic fabric, through a series of tours and visits to local urban areas museums, institutions and communities. The collaboration between f.eks. and Social Sensibility started years ago when Scott William Raby visited the Beijing factory, and then exchanged and conducted a research concerning the artists role as consultants and facilitators.
