Lado defines the set of stories passed down from generation to generation in Mali. An oral tradition that perpetuates the customs to maintain peace in the villages. Sounkarou DEMBÉLÉ went to collect the fragments of this memory in the villages of his parents’s origin: TOUROGOUGOU and DOUFAYA. In partnership with the Music and Technology section of the Music Conservatory of the XVIth arrondissement, we have designed a sound installation. It is an invitation where, from the hollow of a piece of an African guitar, the Kori, these tales come to us in snatches as we approach. From the secrets of remedies made with such and such a plant or such and such snake, to the story of the anaconda lurking at the bottom of the lake that can appear as you pass and swallow you whole. Even the animals that must be sacrificed to appease the anger of the biggest snake…. To what time do these stories belong to us and survive us? Knowledge from the depths of time that speaks to us of an anchorage, of roots that build us, of the elsewhere that we carry within ourselves wherever we go. This artistic vision allows us to glimpse the pendulum of hearts between the echoes of the "country" and the life to be built here.

Lado 定义了在马里代代相传的一系列故事。一种口述传统，延续了维持村庄和平的习俗。 Sounkarou DEMBÉLÉ 前往他父母出生的村庄 TOUROGOUGOU 和 DOUFAYA 收集这段记忆的碎片。我们与第十六区音乐学院的音乐和技术部门合作，设计了一个声音装置。这是一个邀请，当我们走近时，这些故事从非洲吉他的空腔 Kori 中突然出现。从用某某植物或某某蛇制成的治疗秘诀，到潜伏在湖底的蟒蛇的故事，它会在您经过时出现并吞下整个人。即使是为了安抚最大蛇的愤怒而必须牺牲的动物……这些故事在什么时候属于我们并在我们身上存活下来？来自时间深处的知识告诉我们一个锚点，一个建立我们的根源，一个我们无论走到哪里都随身携带的其他地方。这种艺术视野让我们在“国家”的回声和在这里建造的生活之间窥见心灵的钟摆。

Le Lado définit l’ensemble des récits transmis de génération en génération au Mali. Une tradition orale qui perpétue les coutumes pour maintenir la paix dans les villages. Sounkarou DEMBÉLÉ est parti recueillir les fragments de cette mémoire dans les villages d’origine de ses parents: TOUROGOUGOU et DOUFAYA. En partenariat avec la section Musique et Technologie du Conservatoire de Musique du XVIème arrondissement nous en avons conçu une installation sonore. Il s’agit d’une invitation où, du creux d’un morceau d’une guitare africaine, le Kori, ces récits nous parviennent par bribes quand nous nous approchons. Des secrets de remèdes que l’on confectionne avec telle ou telle plante ou tels ou tels serpents, à l’histoire de l’anaconda tapi au fond du lac qui peut surgir à votre passage et vous avaler tout entier. Jusqu’aux animaux qu’il faut sacrifier pour apaiser la colère du plus gros des serpents…. A quel temps appartiennent ces récits qui nous traversent et nous survivent? Un savoir venu du fond des temps qui nous parle d’un ancrage, de racines qui nous construisent, de l’ailleurs que l’on porte en soi où que l’on aille. Cette vision artistique nous permet d’entrevoir le balancier des cœurs entre les échos du « pays » et la vie à construire ici.
