Bernard Controls Italy
The team at Bernard Controls Italy has collected various images and texts from the activities of the two Social Sensibility R&D Departments in Beijing and Paris / Gonesse and assembled them for a calendar for the year 2021
Introduction
“ART FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE” Research and Development in Social Sensibility is an experimental department led by a collective of artists: Alessandro ROLANDI and Tianji ZHAO in China, Blandine de LA TAILLE in France. It has been active within the two main offices of a single company, BERNARD CONTROLS, a family techno-industrial company for three generations, in its two production sites in Beijing for eight years and in Paris / Gonesse for five. The artist uses his own practice as an investigation tool in the context of the relational sphere. The Department works in part as a consolidated research site, which the artists direct by cultivating individual and collective dynamics with the company's employees on a weekly basis; partly as an artistic residence, inviting external artists to intervene for flexible periods of time. The workers of the company become "users of art" as they constantly interact, depending on their time and their will, with the artists of the Department and with external artists.

“ART FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE”社会敏感性研究与发展是一个由以下艺术家集体领导的实验部门：中国的亚历山德罗·罗兰迪和赵天际，法国的布兰丁·德·拉·塔耶。它一直活跃在一家公司的两个主要办公室内，BERNARD CONTROLS，一家家族技术工业公司，已经三代了，在北京的两个生产基地和巴黎/戈内斯的两个生产基地已经有 8 年的时间了。艺术家将自己的实践用作关系领域背景下的调查工具。该部门的部分工作是作为一个综合研究站点，艺术家通过每周与公司员工培养个人和集体动态来指导该站点；部分作为艺术居所，邀请外部艺术家在灵活的时间段内进行干预。公司的员工成为“艺术的使用者”，因为他们根据时间和意愿不断地与部门的艺术家和外部艺术家互动。

Introduction
« ART FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE » Recherche et Développement en Sensibilité Sociale est un département expérimental animé par un collectif d'artistes : Alessandro ROLANDI et Tianji ZHAO en Chine, Blandine de LA TAILLE en France. Elle est active au sein des deux sièges sociaux d'une même entreprise, BERNARD CONTROLS, entreprise familiale techno-industrielle depuis trois générations, dans ses deux sites de production à Pékin depuis huit ans et à Paris/Gonesse depuis cinq ans. L'artiste utilise sa propre pratique comme outil d'investigation dans le contexte de la sphère relationnelle. Le Département fonctionne en partie comme un site de recherche consolidé, que les artistes orientent en cultivant des dynamiques individuelles et collectives avec les salariés de l'entreprise de manière hebdomadaire ; en partie comme résidence artistique, invitant des artistes extérieurs à intervenir pour des durées flexibles. Les travailleurs de l'entreprise deviennent des « utilisateurs d'art » car ils interagissent en permanence, selon leur temps et leur volonté, avec les artistes du Département et avec des artistes extérieurs.

Introduzione
“ART FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE” Research and Development in Social Sensibility è un dipartimento sperimentale guidato da un collettivo di artisti: Alessandro ROLANDI e Tianji ZHAO in Cina, Blandine de LA TAILLE in Francia. È attivo all’interno delle due sedi principali di un’unica compagnia, BERNARD CONTROLS, azienda tecno- industriale familiare da tre generazioni, nei suoi due siti produttivi a Pechino, da otto anni e a Parigi/Gonesse, da cinque. L’artista utilizza la propria pratica come strumento d’indagine nell’ambito della sfera relazionale. Il Dipartimento funziona in parte come un sito di ricerca consolidato, che gli artisti dirigono coltivando settimanalmente dinamiche individuali e collettive con i dipendenti dell’azienda; in parte come residenza artistica, invitando artisti esterni a intervenire per periodi flessibili di tempo determinato. I lavoratori dell’azienda diventano “fruitori dell’arte” in quanto interagiscono costantemente, a seconda del loro tempo e della loro volontà, con gli artisti del Dipartimento e con gli artisti esterni.
