Raphael and Mayumi run an independent and original graphic and illustration studio-workshop in France. While visiting Beijing they were intrigued by the possibility to take part in the Social Sensibility R&D Program and so, although they knew they won’t have time for a long intervention, they decided to run a one day workshop based on humour and reaction. Using as a topic the State visit of French president Francois Hollande at Bernard Controls China (that had just happened before they arrived in Beijing) Raphael and Mayumi asked all the workers and managers in the factory to draw an ink portrait of Francois Hollande. In exchange they took pictures of all the staff and they will make portraits of each of them and send them to China. Each person’s portrait will be shown next to his/her portrait of Francois Hollande. Raphael and Mayumi’ humourous workshop is a straight-forward, interesting and provocative way to stage delicate and complex topics related to colonialism and foreign influence and legacy in developing countries.

无题（正在进行项目) Raphael和Mayumi在法国开设了一家独立的原创平面设计和插图工作室。他们在北京访问期间对参与社会敏感性研究与发展计划产生了浓厚兴趣，因此他们在明知没有时间展开一次长期介入创作活动的情况下，仍然决定以幽默和回应为基调举办一场为期一天的创作会。Raphael和Mayumi让工厂的工人和高管以法国总统Francois Hollande来华进行国事访问期间参观伯纳德控制设备（中国）有限公司（此事恰好发生在他们来北京之前）为题为Francois Hollande画一幅水墨肖像。作为交换，他们拍摄了全体员工的照片，打算为他们每个人画一幅肖像画并将这些画作寄回中国。每个人的肖像画都会放置在该人为Francois Hollande所作的肖像画旁进行展示。Raphael和Mayumi这场不乏幽默感的创作会以直截了当、趣味盎然而又极富挑衅意味的方式将涉及殖民主义、海外影响力和发展中国家遗留问题等敏感复杂的话题摆上了艺术创作的舞台.

Raphaël et Mayumi dirigent un studio-atelier indépendant et original de graphisme et d'illustration en France. Lors de leur visite à Pékin, ils ont été intrigués par la possibilité de participer au programme de R&D de sensibilité sociale et, bien qu'ils savaient qu'ils n'auraient pas le temps pour une longue intervention, ils ont décidé d'organiser un atelier d'une journée basé sur l'humour et la réaction. Utilisant comme sujet la visite d'État du président français François Hollande à Bernard Controls China (qui venait de se produire avant leur arrivée à Pékin), Raphaël et Mayumi ont demandé à tous les ouvriers et managers de l'usine de dessiner un portrait à l'encre de François Hollande. En échange ils ont pris des photos de tout le personnel et ils feront des portraits de chacun d'eux et les enverront en Chine. Le portrait de chacun sera présenté à côté de son portrait de François Hollande. L'atelier humoristique de Raphael et Mayumi est un moyen simple, intéressant et provocateur de mettre en scène des sujets délicats et complexes liés au colonialisme et à l'influence et l'héritage étrangers dans les pays en développement.
